Peaceful
"Thank you so much for helping us with [our pet]'s end of life. It was so peaceful for [them], and therefore, for us. It was lovely to be able to have [them] be with us, at home. It meant so much to us. Thank you again."

Literal Angel
“I want to say thank you. You made the impossible a little bearable. You were extremely kind, patient and caring. At no point did we feel rushed or like we were going through the motions, I truly cannot thank you enough for that.
I appreciated all the time you took on the phone with me as well as helping make all the prints. I am so grateful for the consideration and kindness you showed my buddy and how you helped us through this.
I don’t know how you do this all the time but I’m beyond grateful that you do because [our dog] was able to cross the rainbow bridge at home in a place [they] loved rather than filled with anxiety at the vet. You’re a literal angel. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I cannot say it enough."

Understanding
"Wonderful...[Dr. Hayes] really took the time to talk to me, and understand the situation, getting all our medical records...all before I ever paid her."

Comfort
“You helped us with our beautiful chocolate lab. We all wanted to thank you for your extreme kindness, promptness, and professionalism in our time of need. The pain of losing [him] still cuts through every day. But it helps so much to know that he left this world without suffering, and in the most peaceful way possible.
I still struggle with guilt about euthanizing him. I wonder, did he know I was doing it? Did he feel betrayed? Did he understand? Was he frightened? I know this is not rational, but also know that waiting till he really was in pain would’ve been far worse. You said something to me that day that had a profound impact, and I have since shared it with others:
”It’s better to be a day or so early than one minute too late.”
Whenever I feel bad, I remember this and it comforts me. So thank you for that, and everything else. The work you do is so important, and the pet loving community is so blessed that you do it with such compassion and skill.”

Beautiful Ritual
"We want you to know we feel so grateful for your care. We said goodbye to our beloved [cat]. A friend put it into words so well: it's the very hardest day of having these beautiful creatures in our lives.
All went so peaceful. Once [Dr. Hayes] got here, [our cat] was already sleeping on his pillow, close to the outdoors, his favorite spot. We petted him gently, telling him how much we loved him. The birds sang. A butterfly briefly danced on our deck. Even a little beetle flew in. It was a very peaceful scene.
We thanked [him] for the wonderful years together. An end to a 10 year long chapter. As difficult and sad as it was, we feel this last ritual goodbye couldn't have been more beautiful.”
